Foam Equipment

Tennacor offers firefighting foam, equipment and the engineering support services that can equip facilities with even the most stringent fire protection requirements. With Tennacor's foam equipment solutions, you can increase safety by providing immediate fire suppression in emergency situations and maximize shareholder value by limiting loss to fire.
Water has long been a universal agent for suppressing fires, but is not best in all cases. For example, water is typically ineffective on an oil fire, and can be dangerous. Fire fighting foam is a foam used for fire suppression and its role is to cool the fire and to coat the fuel, preventing its contact with oxygen, resulting in suppression of the combustion. We offer low-expansion, medium expansion and high-expansion foams for various applications. Low-expansion foams such as AFFF are low-viscosity, mobile, and able to quickly cover large areas. Alcohol-resistant foams contain a polymer that forms a protective layer between the burning surface and the foam, preventing foam breakdown by alcohols in the burning fuel.
We offer foam chambers which are air-aspirating foam discharge devices that are used to protect various types of flammable liquid storage tanks including open top floating roof tanks and cone roof tanks with or without internal floaters. Additional applications include most types of open tanks where flammable liquid products are involved. Foam chambers are defined by NFPA 11 as Type II discharge outlets for delivering foam to the surface of a flammable liquid. They are commonly used with bladder tanks, balanced pressure pump proportioning systems, line proportioners, or foam trucks. These foam chambers can be used with low-expansion foam agents that are determined to be suitable for the flammable liquid being protected.
The extensive line of Foam Products we offer includes premium foam concentrates for both Class A and B fires, proportioning equipment for various system arrangements, bladder tanks, nozzles, foam makers, foam pourers and an array of discharge devices to cover your application requirements.
